Got a call to fix a water leak

Early this morning by the motel manager

Abondonend home with a flood inside

Got them sun dried work boots

Went into a pool of cold water

Freezing hands holding a busted tap

Found the leak to put a plug

Soaked in water up a knee’s length

Could not do it all myself

Then came a good man and a plumber

Turn the water mains off for a motel

No water for people and a few minutes

Water is back and life goes on
